Seven DJs, one listening party and zero chance of a shared playlist.
KlaViral has learned Next Communications and Guinness Smooth are bringing back “Pass The AUX” for its third edition on Friday, October 16, at Somewhere Else in Naguru, Kampala. Doors are set for 5 PM, and it’s strictly 18 and over.
Here’s the deal — it’s a curated DJ listening party, and each DJ gets a set that reflects his or her own sound. The lineup: Melvyn Deejay, DJ Trizzy Vybz, Big E, DJ Jarla Vibes, Bertha, Lucas Blacc and Joshua Caleb.
Turns out, the night is tied to Guinness Smooth’s “Make It Yours” campaign, which celebrates individuality. Guinness Smooth is the event’s official and exclusive drink.
And there’s a visual twist. Lady Nyina, a Kampala body art creative, will be painting guests live throughout the evening, with members of her creative community joining her.
Next Communications’ Maclean Atuhaire says the idea is to give “fresh voices the space to shine.”
Seven sets, live body art and one drink on the menu — somebody’s about to lose an argument over whose turn it is.
