Diwali Is Coming to Munyonyo … and the Night Ends With Fireworks

Samosas by day, sparklers by night — Speke Resort Munyonyo is throwing a Diwali bash.

KlaViral has learned the Diwali Food Festival 2026 lands at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Kampala on Sunday, November 1. It’s hosted by the resort and the Indian Association of Uganda, and billed as a celebration of Indian cuisine, culture and community.

Here’s the deal — gates open at 2:30 PM, and a fireworks display lights up the night at 8 PM.

Turns out, the menu is the main draw. Food stalls will serve dishes from different regions of India, alongside shopping stalls and drinks. Music and family entertainment are on the program, and there’s a children’s play area for the little ones.

Want to bring your own sparkle? Fireworks can be bought at the event.

The festival is open to everyone. The article doesn’t mention ticket prices, and it doesn’t name any performers or sponsors.

Regional Indian dishes, a kids’ play area and a fireworks finale — the Diwali party is open to anyone who shows up hungry.

We’ll update if we hear more.
