Friday night’s “The One and Only” concert had all the makings of a movie set — glammed-out entrances, fireworks, thousands of fans packed in early. And TMZ has learned even a mid-show glitch couldn’t kill the vibe.
Here’s the deal — Lydia was mid-performance on her Geosteady collab when the music just cut out. Dead air, a beat of confusion… and then the crowd took over, chanting “Lydia… we wanna partee!” until the show rolled right back into gear.
Turns out, that unplanned moment became one of the night’s biggest highlights — proof that this crowd wasn’t going anywhere, technical difficulties or not.
The concert, backed by V&A Sherry and Abitex Promotions, packed the venue by mid-afternoon with fans posing for photos before the real show even started. The lineup brought serious firepower too — Sheebah Karungi, Lillian Mbabazi, Fefe Bussi, Ray G and Anknown all took turns warming up the crowd before Lydia hit the stage.

V&A’s brand manager Roy Ronald Tumwizere says the partnership was a no-brainer given how tight Lydia’s bond is with her fanbase. The brand’s already got its next big Kampala moment lined up — a Kenneth Mugabi concert September 12, with the Miss Uganda Grand Finale also on the calendar.
